Perhaps it could of been organised better there are ways and means as has been suggested but it is a typical hindsight event in all reality.

The OP used this and the station to slag off the owners, some lap it up some take umbrage.

Nope.

I got airside at EM airport without speaking to a single person, printed my boarding card with barcode and went straight to security. No check in desk at all.

Yes, I have to get past security but that ain't hard with a knocked off passport if you avoid the retina scanner.

When I said, "God knows why they don't do it?", it wasn't a surprise to see you answer. Talk about having an over-inflated opinion of yourself.

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
Because, OtB, if such a thing as air travel, which requires untold levels of security due to the risk of fraudulent travel trusts the use of it then I'm sure football can.

It was in direct response to the chat about whether it was secure or not.

This conversation is clearly above your level of knowledge, so off you pop to play with a train set or something.

You really are pathetic at times for someone who likes to make out he's so assured.

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
I guess the only difference is that airline tickets get inspected by an actual person, not that it makes much difference, as i said below other clubs do issue e-tickets and printable tickets, so should we.

Don't cry OtB.

Air travel? Now there's a relevant comparison. Sorry, I meant retarded. Why didn't you say concert tickets?

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
They've already got the kit, it's called a computer.

On The Ball 1:15 Fri Aug 29
Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
I'm not suer how much "kit" they'd need as the readers are there which are the expensive bit.

Obviously it's as simple as Jonhson says and they're just not using it to upset people.

hence why i checked and found out that wasn't the case.

Why would it only last a couple of years Dapablo, you fucking cunt?

Johnson 1:14 Fri Aug 29
Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
If printing barcoded tickets was that easy to forge no one would do it ever.

If it's good enough for air travel then it's good enough for football.

Dapablo 1:13 Fri Aug 29
Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
I'd assume they don't do it becasue they don't want to spend a load of money on kit that'll only last a couple of years and might only be needed once, last week!

Hermit Road 1:07 Fri Aug 29
Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
Printing your own tickets it's pretty tight because the barcode is unique meaning it can only be used once. God knows why they don't do it.

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
I looked yesterday ern, i was wondering whether printing tickets at home might make them much more easy to forge. but other clubs do issue e-tickets and printable tickets.

just a quick question. if all those in the queue had turned up earlier, would they have got their ticket and made the kick off?

I understand that Dap, but that's not where the gripe is.

What is your gripe then, me saying people should of had enough sense to realise that pay on the door would be an issue, or the fact that you would like to prevent people who differ from you haveing an opinion?
